27 KM west to the property. This village is the oldest in the valley of Oaxaca and is known for its rugs and wool serapes, dyed with natural colors. These fabrics are made on domestic looms that can be seen in the houses of the artisans. The village has a beautiful colonial church and next to the courtyard, there is a small community museum. At the entrance to the village, on the left hand side, is Rancho La Grana where one can observe the elaboration of dyes based on natural products such as the "Grana Cochinilla".
